In some countries the LPG market is impinging on the city gas/natural gas market with consequences for metering. This is notably the case in Japan and Mexico although the circumstances are different in each case. Secondly, central storage of gas, supplied by tanker in countries without pipeline networks, is an increasing trend. End users have meters in the same manner as user of piped gas.
