Revenue Assurance (RA) focuses on the very thing that operators desire most: increased payments receivable that ultimately boost profits and cash flow. Telecoms executives therefore now view the activity as a strategic, competitive weapon and a profit centre in its own right, rather than as a back-office overhead.
By stemming revenue losses, RA enhances profitability and enables better use of existing network resources, thus reducing capital expenditure (capex). This paper looks at different approaches to RA, the threats and drivers in the market and changes in the vendor market.
