Our researchers have examined thousands of corporate, media and trade websites, government and regulator data files, official company press releases, financial statements, annual reports and made direct contact with operators on a global basis to enable us to produce The Worldwide Directory of Mobile Network operators 2007. The directory profiles over 700 active GSM, CDMA and iDEN operations and features over 2,900 named management contacts ranging from CEOs to Business Development Managers.

The directory comes as a 5 volume set which is delivered in PDF format, by e-mail, directly to the end user. The first 4 volumes deliver the country based operation profiles based upon 4 geographic regions. Volume 5 of the directory contains 36 parent company profiles, featuring group management contacts, ranging from T-Mobile International to the Digicel Group. Volume 5 focuses on providing you with the contact information of the some of the biggest telecommunications companies in the world but is not an exhaustive listing of every parent company mentioned in the directory.

Research Process � Research for the directory began Q1 2007 and finished early May 2007. Our main sources of data have been the individual operations and their parent companies plus telecommunication groups if appropriate. This process consisted of the examining and documenting of thousands of websites, annual reports and end of quarter financial statements, company press releases, corporate brochures and archives. Regulatory, government and trade organisation publications and websites were also examined along with trade media publications and archives, including our own title, Africa and The Middle East Telecom Week. We also consulted directly with many operations.

Verification Process � All telephone numbers, fax numbers and e-mail address included in the directory were tested during May 2007. Due to time differences, atmospherics and local conditions present in certain countries and regions we do not guarantee that all communication methods will function correctly. Where faults and inactive telephone, fax or e-mail contacts were identified we either replaced or removed the item. Where official evidence stated the communication method was still current our researchers kept the item in the directory. Our researchers also contacted operators directly. Please note that research for the directory was conducted in-house and this is the first edition of our directory - this reduces the churn effect of time on data.
