These mobile operator country profiles are from a series covering the world. Data included in the profiles have been extracted from The Worldwide Directory of Mobile Network Operators 2007 (published May 2007) and The MVNO Directory 2008 (published October 2007).
The Worldwide Directory of Mobile Network Operators 2007 (The MNO Directory) looked at 708 mobile networks globally. These networks form the GSM, CDMA and IDEN operations seen as traditional carriers. The MVNO Directory 2008 looked at 337 operations known as mobile virtual network operators and resellers acting as operators. Out of this figure 255 operations were live at the time of research, 53 were in the planning stage and our research identified 29 further operations which were not officially planned but had been publicised as having a good chance of being launched.
We recognise that you might only focus on one or two countries or a select few. This is why we have produced these country based operator profiles, allowing you to focus your research spending on just your required markets.

Typical MNO entry contains: Operator name, URL, telephone, fax, address, between 1-12 named managers with job title (no direct lines or e-mail addresses) and information regarding their licences and launch dates. All information is provided where available with some entries being better than others.
Typical MVNO entry contains: Operator name, URL, telephone, fax, address, between 1-12 named managers with job title (no direct lines or e-mail addresses), launch date, target markets, carrier network used and what mobile services they provide (roaming, MMS, SMS, voice, pre-pay, post-pay, mobile internet).
