The current and anticipated growth in water treatment applications is creating a high growth business opportunity for manufacturers of some components; however, while the market for water treatment systems and its end applications are well researched, the industry has a dearth of market information on the aspects that make up the system. The constant flux in water treatment technologies is spurring changes in components and improvements in component technology.
This BCC report focuses on selected components for high purity water treatment systems, the commonest of which are reverse osmosis (RO) and ionized water (DI) systems. Broadly, the interest/scope starts when city feedwater enters a media filtration system. As far as possible, the study identifies components, including the consumables required for operation, maintenance and on-going testing of the system.
