Angiogene established its UK office in 1996 and was registered in Scotland in 1997, as Angiogene Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Angiogene has a pipeline of innovative experimental drugs for the treatment of cancer and ocular angiogenesis. These small-molecule products have arisen from two major technologies: vascular targeting agents (VTAs) and hypoxia activated prodrugs. A third proprietary technology, nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibition, has shown promise in the potentiation of vascular targeting effects.
