The report results from an attempt by Pyramid?s Africa team to build an internal and reliable source of benchmarking of African operator performance. Benchmarking African operators is not easy. The relevant data is generally not available, and even when it is, can be extremely difficult to obtain. As a result, African operators are often benchmarked against operators in other emerging markets (Israel, Russia, Turkey) that are not intuitively comparable. This report is designed to provide more meaningful benchmarks.
