Growth in the number of broadband subscribers in Europe is accelerating, based on data for the last four quarters. During the first quarter of 2006, European countries added 6.7 million broadband subscribers. With more than 12 million broadband connections, Germany is the largest broadband market in Europe. Belgium has lowest growth rate in Western Europe. Germany and the United Kingdom are among the countries with the most potential for further growth
